This won’t come as a surprise to anyone: Faith Connors is probably the video-game character I’m most like. She’s also the character I want to be like.
I’m not female, nor am I a tiny Asian.
But I’m a traceur/freerunner/practitioner of parkour and I wear a lot of red. I also have split-toe shoes like Faith, except mine are split between every toe.
I want to be like Faith because she’s a better runner than I am. Obviously, she can break rules of her world because it’s not set in reality, but she is more fearless than I am. There’s no way I could jump from one skyscraper to the next even with a tiny gap between them.
She can also run longer and faster than I can. But, once again, she has a different set of rules in her world.
